Good food, good service. We had 7 people in our party and it was fun to order a few big dishes to share.

Good food at fair prices. Bucca de Pepe is an excellent place to bring the family or large groups of people. Serving "family style" one can purchase an entree for two or four people. We ordered the Gorgonzola pear salad, the lasagna for two and a small cheese pizza after starting with an order of cheese bread. All excellent and plentiful. Had quite a bit left over to take home. I would of ordered less if I knew how much food we were talking about, but Italian leftovers rock!! Thanks Dan C for an excellent recommendation. Yelpers come to the rescue to save a starving family again!

Walking around the mall, I got hungry and had a craving for some GOOD pasta and calamari. We saw Buca di Beppo and decided to give it another try. I haven't been to one in YEARS. I think the last time was when I was in 7th grade in Charlotte, North Carolina. We were seated at a large booth by the bar. The bartender was the wait staff for that area. She was good and very nice, but she got slammed so she was having some trouble with all the tables. We ordered calamari to start (small). It was mediocre at best. Overcooked, soggy, but decent flavor. Very small pieces too. We shared the spicy chicken rigatoni (small also). This was very good. I enjoyed this dish. Pasta was a bit overcooked but the flavor was so good! VERY SPICY, which I appreciated. I hate when dishes claim to be spicy and they aren't. like......WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! imposter. There was plenty of chicken and plenty of sauce. I would order this again. Here is the thing. This restaurant is not what it used to be. Bottom line. You can get some decent Italian at good prices when you are with a large group, sharing. But don't expect phenomenal food or phenomenal service. And for an early lunch for 2 people, it is over priced.

The four of us went here the other night for the first time, marched in at 8:59, and they closed at 9:00. Oops. The fact that the host at the front was so accommodating and willing to seat us one minute prior to closing, should've been red flag number one. I thought, "Awe, he's so nice. Great service already." No. He needed our patronage. And I quickly realized that on the walk of shame to our first table when I noticed that the entire restaurant was empty, except for two tables. This place is pretty big, and out of ALL 50 or more empty tables, he decides to seat us in the room with a party of about 15 extremely loud Spanish-speaking women. I'm pulling my hair out already. We were seated two minutes and I had a splitting headache. We finally got up and asked to be moved from Hialeah. They move us to a nice, quiet, empty room. The host comes over again and apologizes and thanked us again for coming out. I thought that the service and the waitress was good. The bread was fresh and good, but they served some odd oil and vinegar mix to dip the bread in - looked like a toilet bowl full of urine with feces in the middle. I opted for the butter. The entrees were a nightmare. I just have one question for the reviewers on here that say that the food was "excellent", or "the best Italian food that we've ever had". Have you ever been to Prime Italian in South Beach? Casa D'Angelo in Fort Lauderdale? No, you haven't. You're not as high-maintenance as me. You don't spend that kind of money on food. But you get what you pay for. (Buca di Beppo is clearly over-priced.) Those restaurants serve REAL, authentic Italian food. And it's clear that you Yelpers don't come from Italian roots, like myself, because we all know that chicken marsala should not taste like chicken and waffles. That's right - the marsala sauce tasted like maple syrup. There should never be a noticeable amount of sugar in marsala sauce. We also ordered the shrimp florentine, which was shrimp with spinach and linguine in a garlic butter sauce. The shrimp were small and the dish was just extremely watery. It looked like shrimp, spinach, and linguine in a soup. Our third dish (we're pigs) was traditional rigatoni and meatballs. This was probably the winner out of the three, but the meatballs tasted like a whopper and the rigatoni was over-cooked. The dessert was better than the food, but it took 20 minutes to get. Good thing we were being entertained by half of The Addams Family, who thought that the food was excellent, by the way, checking out the art on the walls in the hall-way to the restroom while waiting for the rest of their family to shit out their meal. We ordered the celebration cake, just the wedge, but it could've fed an army. I'm assuming that they just cut the wedge very large because they don't have many mouths to feed considering the restaurant is probably empty on a regular basis. Check time. The waitress asked us if she'd like us to pack up our left-overs, since there was about a week's worth of food left. We said yes because we felt bad but then we ended up leaving the doggy bag on the table next to us. Not by accident. They also gave us a 20% off coupon and a package of basil seeds with our check. I have the 20% off coupon for sale. Message me if you're interested. It's really a shame that this location is smearing the reputation of this company, because I have been to the Fort Lauderdale and Davie locations several times, and the food was very good. I don't know how it's been lately, as I haven't been in quite a few years. I'm shocked that this location has been open even a year and a half. Again, the service is decent, the art is cute, but the food is atrocious. The ONLY reason that I'm giving this place two stars is because the clown in one of the paintings on the wall appeared to be wearing my Versace shoes. Great taste, Pagliacci. Great taste.

It's always a good time here. I don't understand all the negative reviews. My experiences have always been great! Maybe the expectations are too high. It's a chain restaurant that i would say is right on par with its competitors (Olive Garden, Carrabas, Macaroni Grill). In fact, if I had to rate it I would say Carrabas and Bucca di Bepo then Macaroni Grill then Olive Garden. Now is it better than your mom's lasangna? I'd say probably not (unless your mom is a terrible cook!). My most recent trip to Bucca di Bepo was for happy hour. My best friend and I were really hungry after a day of shopping and when we get together there HAS to be alcohol involved at some point. We passed by and noticed their specials and it was a done deal. During their happy hour, they have appetizers that are around $4-6 as well as beer, wine, and cocktails at a discount. We ordered the pizza, calamari and meatballs. Our server, who is also the bartender, was extremely friendly and helpful despite having a full section and the responsibility of crafting our drinks. I would say skip the pizza as it was rather disappointing. The calamari was average, but still satisfying. The star was the meatballs. They were juicy, flavorful, soft yet held its shape. We were torn between the meatballs or the meatball sliders. The sliders are cost a little more and come on Hawaiian bread. The meatballs are cheaper and come with Italian bread, which I prefer. Let me tell ya, I usually don't like meatballs, but I hogged all of it! They don't have the best food or the best drink deals, but I still think it is an awesome place to dine if you're at Coral Square Mall. It beats eating at the food court (again....).

I've been to a couple of the Buca locations and since I'm usually with a smaller party I figure that I'm missing much of the appeal. Tonight we went with the Mixed Green Salad & an order of Mini Meatballs, both were delicious. Our server was attentive and even managed to sign me up for their E-Club so I'll be back. All in all a good meal

Great experience, great food and nice place. Debora was our server today. She is an amazing professional, fast and attentive to details. We had the bruschetta, stuffed shells and spaghetti w/ meatballs. We ordered small sizes, but we had to ask for boxes. The small size serves 2 people easily. Very good italian place, ask for Debora.

Ate here for the first time yesterday with my family. At first i thought the items were a lil expensive till i realized that the prices are for double or quadruple portions. We ordered a large pizza an a small Caesar salad. The salad was MORE than enough for my girlfriend and i. The pizza was fantastic and more than the 4 of us could finish. Our waitress was awesome from start to finish.

Last time I was there for eat in about a year ago, service was bad. They were not even busy. I have not gone back for a year. Today I gave it a try by ordering to go order. There were only 2 tables in the dinning room, they still messed my order. Service is really bad. I prefer the one in Davie. Much bettter service.

Found this outlet of the popular chain leaving a lot to be desired. Waiter almost forgot about us because we didn't order booze. When he finally took our order the food came out quickly. However, it was awful. Very disappointed.

This place must be run by a complete moron. The restaurant was at most 25% occupied. So pretty much completely dead! And they feel the need to sit everyone on top of each other to the point where they actually asked if they could take the high chair my son was sitting in, "out of the weigh" so they could squeeze in another table. Why not seat the next party at any of the 50 other open tables!

So, have you ever been able to honestly say you have witnessed the demise of a good thing? Well I have. Knowing the standard that this company has strived to set over the years makes it painful to write this. Last week Wednesday, the 17th, around 8pm a group of us decided to have dinner at the coral springs location after Christmas shopping. Sadly, it was on my recommendation. On arrival at the host stand we found a smalll group waiting to be seated. One gentleman was pretty upset and was trying to get the group to leave and go across to Friday's because they had been waiting over 5 minutes for someone to greet them! Just then, a young lady came from the kitchen and when told that they were a party of four, informed then that there was a 30 minute wait. We were all surprised because the restaurant was pretty empty. She then told them that she was expecting group's for Christmas parties but they could eat at the bar. One of the gentlemen walked into the bar area adv noticed a four top open but dirty. He came back and asked if they could sit there. She quite rudely said no! When asked why not, she replied "because it's dirty". One lady in the group, sending that the gentleman was getting angry, asked if the table could be cleaned. Three young lady again said no because it was being held for a reservation! The group left vowing never to return quite loudly! Ok..my turn. By now we had decided to not even bother...one member of our group decided to order a slice of chocolate cake to go. We were told to go to the bar and order. We stood at the bar, all five of us, for 7, yes 7 minutes while the bartender sorted out a gift card purchase, without even the slightest acknowledgement from him! Only to wait another 10 minutes for the cake to arrive! So, we enjoy a meal at Friday's, coincidently sitting across from the group that had just left, go home and decided to group share the cake. Only to find the smallest, driest, worst piece of Buca we have ever seen! For $12 it was absolutely ridiculous!! Needless to say, from our arrival to claiming the cake, we did not see a manger walk around ONCE! Buca was once known fur it's great customer service and large portions. I can honestly say that at least at the Coral Springs location neither one exists. I own an online radio station and related my experience on air the following morning and received three calls with similar stories. One caller related a story of reserving the kitchen table and being disgusted by how dirty the kitchen was! So sad!

How does this place stay in business? The food is subpar at vest, and way over priced. We are there last night and are still thinking about how bad it was. Obviously others feel the same because it was empty on a Friday night. The only redeeming factor is the ambiance, good music, great art, and the vibe in general is fun.

I'm a Sucker for This Place. I don't rate this place as a fine dining Italian Restaurant. It's a fun and whimsical place to enjoy food served family style. We went to the bar and had some happy hour drinks and apps. My wife got the fried calamari and she enjoyed it. I liked the bar and all the crazy pictures on the wall. Love the chick with the melons and big melons they are lol. I saw Fang aka David who i know from Salt Life who was bartending. great guy. I told my wife that come Holiday Season this bar is gonna be packed with weary husbands/boyfriends that need a beer:) my wife's take was totally different of course, she said she could now make a day out of shopping because she could have lunch in the mall and drink some wine. My wife is right, there are no places inside this mall where you can sit down in a restaurant and get a drink. You would have to leave the mall to do that. I got some spaghetti to go and one of the servers told us that they would be playing the football games on the big flat screen TVs. I got home and the spaghetti and sauce were nothing out of the ordinary. My son and I split it. Overall, I see this place being quite successful. Not so much for the food, but the location. For me I would go there just to sit at the pope's table or the booth in the kitchen. Not mention there happy hour deals were decent. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

Went to Bucca di Beppo last night in, Coral Springs. Horrible, horrible, service. 1. Waited "40" minutes for our drinks!!!! 2. Waited "60" minutes for salad!! 3. Waited "60" minutes for our dinner, which was wrong!!! 4. Waited "30" minutes for our bill which was wrong!!! Terrible, terrible, Valentine's Celebration at this restaurant.

Here is my dinner experience: 15 minutes into the meal, the server spills a giant soda all over me, my son, and the entire table ruining our dishes. "All over me" means I was soaked in Pepsi from my head running down the right side of my body to my shorts where I had my cell phone. The server removed the plates of food and had new smaller portions cooked to replace them. No manager. No sincere apology. At the end of the night, we were charged for the full amount. After asking for the manager, she reluctantly refunded one dish. Seriously?

Family had a great experience!! Was sat at a nice table and high chairs were set up for us by our server. I would go definitely again. Our server was Deborah and she was the BEST!!! Always coming to check on us and make sure our drinks were filled. I'm going to call ahead next time and ask for her again.

I really don't get the over priced menu. It's not like it's fresh pasta or anything. Super average, will not return.

Although the food is delicious, the service can be a lot better. I came down to Fort Lauderdale/Coral Springs for the baptism of my son, and we reserved the patio for a party of 25 after the ceremony. The reservation was done well in advance, so I expected a much better service. It seemed as everything was coming out one at a time. My father ordered coffee, which he had to remind the waiter of several times, and got his creamer several minutes after. Each individual family received one dish at a time, and the wait was tremendous! After receiving our food, our chicken was not cooked all the way and by the time we received it, everyone was done with their food and the checks were on their way. Needless to say, the food is great. Some of the best dishes that I've tried thus far is the chicken Parmesan and Spicy Chicken Rigatoni.

Second times a charm I guess. Everything was pretty good. The chicken spinach cannelloni, the margarita pizza and the meatballs were all great. I am glad to see some great changes made to this place. Its a definite positive change from my previous visit.

The food is good but the bathroom definitely needs a good cleaning. I've worked in hospitals and their restrooms smell like hospital bathrooms. Eeeek! Please clean your restroom Mr. Buca :) Other than this I love the food.

What the hell am i doing in Coral Springs!?! Work brought me up here for our Christmas Lunch and meeting. Who am i to deny a free lunch? Right? Hhehehehe They have been here about a month so i thought i would read up on some of the other locations before i got there. That's the yelper in me. Well from what i read i came to the conclusion that i was walking into a meh meh of a place. I was kinda surprised though as the lunch progressed. Since we were a big group it was family style. Salad, entree and pasta! The food was good, not OMG great but good. We had a cesar salad that was a little soggy and a wanut salad that was pretty good. Entree time! Chicken Parmesean and Penne pasta with broccoli and alfredo sauce. Chicken was tasty and pasta was yum yum! Desert was a raspberry cheesecake that was blah! Toooo tarty was the sauce and not enough cheese in the cheescake. I smelled the chocolate cake from the other table and almost glided over to steal a bite...hehehe So why the 4 stars? SERVICE and SMILES is the key! The servers were awesome and super friendly throughout the entire meal and after. So yes, the food could be a little more tasty but my expectations of a chain like Italian place is not that high but they did surpass it by a smidge, the service makes it worth the visit if you must.

Bucca never disappoints us no matter which one we go to. We went to the one in coral square mall and it was just as good as we remember. we love the meatballs and spicy sausage. Service was great like always. In the past 14 years that we have dined at Buccas we have never had a bad experience or bad food. We will keep going. Love this place.

Received a $10 coupon from local ad mailings since they are new to our mall. So bummed it was as bad as the other South Florida location I went to a few years ago. Server was nice but once it got busy, she was MIA and we gave up on dessert after 20 minutes but she insisted we get it so we waited another 5 minutes, then another 10 minutes for the bill to find out it was a $13 dessert. Too bad the manager wasn't around, definitely not worth $13 or the 20 minute wait. Also, the rest of meal was basic and overpriced, nearly $80 for the equivalent of other Italian chains, yikes!

Service was VERY slow, did not have the soup of the day available, waiter stopped by maybe 2 times to see how we were doing and the expresso machine was broke. This Buca di Beppo just opened. I would suggest getting your stuff together if you want to be a success.

I've never given any restaurant just 1 star, but this location deserves it. Coral Square location does not compare AT ALL to the other locations of the same chain. Rude employees, they ruined a rather important family function for us by not having a table available despite the fact that we had made reservations over 1 month in advance. Just horrible. Eating in the mall food court right across the hallway is a pleasure compared to the experience we had with this location. I doubt they will stay very long.

Took the family ,8 adults 1 teen, to Bucadibeppo for Dinner for a Birthday. Food was delicious. Service was a little slow in the beginning , we were waiting for Bread or something then the server brought The garlic bread and the appetizers at the same time. From then service was good. We were at the Pope's table so it was like a private room.

I am impressed. Bucca di Beppo is an outstanding chain that made another wise choice by going into the Coral Square Mall. The manager, Lamarl, is very friendly and helpful as is all of their staff. Everybody is very genuine and professional. It is as if you have ten waiters to yourself! To match the outstanding service, the food is delicious. If you get the small be prepared to have leftovers. If you get the large, be prepared to have tons of leftovers. The prices are great for what you get. As you can imagine, everybody walks out with a to-go bag.

Fair to awful at best. Most food is fried with nothing healthy to eat on the menu. The food was bland. This is a fast food place masquerading as a restaurant. DO NOT let your credit card out of you sight. Mine was compromised!

Horrific!!!! As bad as the Outback in Coral Springs. We walked in at 7pm on a Friday night and asked for a table for 2. Not at all complicated and actually very simple. Very simple until you have a idiot teenager running your seating. She rudely asked us if we had reservations. We kindly told her nope.. we sure don't! She then said it will be 45 minutes. As we are walking out we told her that there are a lot of open tables and she proceeded to tell us (along with some fruity waiter) that they have parties coming in. Please excuse me, we are paying customers wanting to give you our money, right now!!!! Don't argue with us! How about doing what every other person with SENSE would do and go to the manager and tell them a table of two is here and we really aren't that busy. I am SURE that manager would tell you to seat the customers and avoid a bad experience, well not this bright young lady!!! (Brush up on your people skills sweety). We got the super awesome idea to put in a reservation at the next available time on opentable.com . I sign onto the website and how funny!!! The next reservation is less than 5 minutes away. We walked in to the nasty little teenage girl and interrupted her personal conversation she was having with someone in street clothes. I literally had to butt in and interrupt the conversation. She walked us to our table and we overheard the fruity waiter making a comment about us being back again. Nice and so professional. She seats us at our table and puts the menus down and walks away as if she has been inconvenienced by us being there. We later heard numerous people being sat and told about any specials, special drink menus and their server's name. Not us because we were blessed with Ms Personality. The waiter comes and I ask to speak to the manager. The manager comes by and gives us some line about a wedding party coming in (which we never saw that we know of) and that she asked them to slow up a little bit on seating people. So, "a little" equals 45 minutes? HOKAY! She gave us the typical manager line and left. We ordered the Buca 1893 salad. I have been to a few Buca's and we get the salad every time. I know the salad and I know the quality. This was below subpar. This salad was extremely flimsy, soggy and just gross. By this time we were starving and had to eat it. We then waited and waited and waited. The salad came and went. The server kept telling us the pizza was on its way. Basically the cook burnt the first pizza according to our server and he had to make another one...... So an hour and a half for a disgusting salad and remade pizza. I can say my server was great for as busy as he was. He was running the bar and a few of the tables in the bar. Don't let this waste of space place ruin your opinion of Buca. Like I said before, I have been to a few and this is the only bad experience that I can think of. TIP::::: if you ever walk in or call and they say 45 minute wait go to opentable.com and make a reservation. Chances are there is one available in 5 min. Actually, don't go to this location. Go to the one in Davie!!!!!

It has only been open a week. Average food quality, portions are not that large, very tight dining quarters, and their ergonomics not well thought out. Service not up to par due to lack of training and knowledge of the menus. Will not be going back even with a discount coupon. Better off to spending ($) a little more and get a better foodie experience at Maggiano's Little Italy

My brother and I took my father for fathers day. I thought it was pretty good. Although not crazy about eating in a mall on a Sat night with the LOUD people. But the bruschetta was delicious. I hardly touched my Eggplant cause I was full. I ate it over the next week and it was pretty good. My son said his pizza was good. I dont think Id make the 30 min ride too often, but Id try again

Today we celebrated my daughter's 9th birthday at The new Buca di Beppo restaurant in Coral Springs. We had a wonderful experience. I wanted to write a review right away before I forgot because they truly deserve to be complimented. The whole staff was so pleasant and very helpful. The manager that I dealt with, Lamar, was very accommodating and professional. The food was outstanding as well. The 20 kids ate from the kids menu...there were no complaints from them. The adults shared a large Apple Gorgonzola salad,a Marguerita pizza and a large Eggplant Parmesan entree. They were all delicious and very generous portions. You should definitely consider having your party or celebration here! You will not regret it!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
